  85.         Well, if you haven't, get it now!!!  POWER is a monthly disk 
  86.         magazine that comes out on the first of every month.  It is 
  87.        written by me (James L. Mathews) and my readers.  I am only 14 
  88.          but even if you don't like reading all the News, Reviews, 
  89.       Stories, Diary of an ST User, Articles, STOS Programming column 
  90.        and all the other stuff then there's always loads of FREE P.D 
  91.       that has been packed with the ice packer V2.4 to make sure that 
  92.             I get EVEN MORE on to each disk for your enjoyment.  
  93.  
  94.      Issues 1-7 are P.D and can be obtained from me by sending a blank 
  95.         disk and S.S.A.E.  Issue 8 and future issues are of a higher 
  96.      quality and have been taken up by POWERFIST licenceware where all 
  97.         money made will go to helping enhance POWER.  Issues 8+ are 
  98.       charged at £2.50 per disk which can be sent to me and covers the 
  99.                          cost of the disk and p+p.  
  100.  
  101.      Issue 4 saw me writing the longest scroll text on any computer in 
  102.         the World, beating the record set by the Exceptions in their 
  103.        B.I.G demo.  Issue 5 is a two disk issue and so is issue 8 but 
  104.        with both issues, you CAN just obtain ONE of the disks if you 
  105.                                    wish.

  161. The rules for obtaining my disks are clearly stated in my catalogue  disk, 
  162. but I'll list the rules here anyway. Here goes.............

  165. 1: You can swap public domain disks with me on a one for one basis.ie: If for
  166.    instance you want ONE of my disks, then you must send me ONE disk which has
  167.    public domain stuff on it. I don't want stuff I already have, so it's very
  168.    important to read my catalogue disk carefully before sending anything!!
  169.  
  170.    One more thing, all my disks are full and any disks that you send must at
  171.    least be reasonably full. Sending a disk which contains a couple of desk
  172.    accessories (as some people have done) will result in no reply from me!
  173.    
  174.    You must also include enough stamps to cover return postage okay?
  175.  
  176.    This last point can't be stressed hard enough! By the way, I won't accept
  177.    pirated disks as swaps so don't send any "cracked" disks okay?  thanks!!

  180. 2: If you do not have any programs to send but still wish to obtain copies
  181.    of my disks then you can send blank disks, but a charge of 80 pence per
  182.    disk ordered will be levied. You must also send enough stamps to cover
  183.    return postage.

  186. 3: If you do not have any programs or blank disks but still wish to obtain
  187.    copies of my disks then I can provide the disks for a resonable charge
  188.    of £1.50 per disk ordered, but if using this method you order 10 disks
  189.    or more, then the charge reduces to £1.00 per disk ordered. This charge
  190.    ONLY includes return postage and all packaging to your home address.

  471. only  a fiver and I knew it probably wouldn't work.  Unfortunately my  son

  532. I  have recently had a few bad experiences involving CANCER, affecting  me
  533. and several other members of my family.  During this time the help,  care,
  534. support,  attention  and love shown by the various charities  and  nursing
  535. staff was fantastic.  For that I can't  thank  them enough.  
  536.  
  537. Unfortunately  the  treatments for the disease are unpleasant to  say  the
  538. least.  The government gives virtually no help in the way of money to help
  539. eradicate this disease so unfortunately its left to charities to find  the
  540. cash for research.

  542. The point is this, I have been looking at ways to help.  So here comes the
  543. appeal.
